What can I do for shoulder pain?
I was involved in a car accident about a year ago. The driver hit me on the drivers side at my rear corner panel. I was spun around and when I came to rest, my left shoulder was on fire with pain. I went to the ER where they did X-rays and said everything was fine. Everyday since that day I've had pain. I can't wash dishes, lift heavy objects, even sleep on my left shoulder without pain! I've tried OTC pain meds, heat, and ice. Nothing seems to help ease the pain. I don't want to go to a doctor b/c I fear surgery. HELP!
I fear there may not be any other answer for your discomfort other than to see an orthopedic surgeon. Sounds as though you may have a torn rotator cuff. That does not show on an X-ray.
