Has Fertility Medications affected your weight and also your hair!!!!?
Hi Ladies,
part of this Q may seem bit random, i dont know, but i was wondering, did you gain weight firstyl during Fertility Treatment?
Since starting Clomid in Oct 08 - I have had 11 mths, with odd gaps and have gained approx 10-12lbs, however, I go Spinning and burn thousands of calories a week as I go 5 to 6 times a week on average . .so god knows how much heavier i'd be if i wasnt spinning!
But it was when i started Clomid, i gained it all in first mth more a less - did you?
I know also have HCG trigger and Progesterone 2nd half of cycles as im on 2nd mth of IUI again with Clomid.
Also, the other Q was to do with my hair, its gone vile! Really lifeless and dull and just ergh.....I know pregnant women can experience changes in hair through hormones so wonfered if the same on fertility meds??

I was on the Clomid tablets for 3 months back in the late part of 2008 it never worked for me other than give me banging headachs server hot flushes which made me feel like I wanted to faint alot of the time and tired I also put on alot of weight I went from been a size 12-14 to 14-16 and I put on 5 stone been on Clomid and it took me since last August after I stoped them and other feritilty treatment they put me on after the Clomid I have now lost the 5 stone and now weigh 9 and 1/2 stone still got 1/2 stone to lose to be back to my normal weight but having PCOS that can also put weight on as well you can also get negitive postive with the ovolation tests and they can also mess your periods up worse than what they may already have been as well I know what you mean about the hair part I had the same thing and I am just gettign the life back into it my hair went so thin I thought I was losing it lol and it even stopped growing I don't know if that was just me and I was having a reaction to it like most medication but I have also spoke to other people who have been on it and the said the same thing but the Clomid tablets are worth going through all that if it works for you and you get pregnant and if you don't it can sometimes feels like why did you put yourself through this it never worked for me and I have tried other fertitlty since then and nothing still has woorked for me hopefully it works for you good luck and hope its your month baby dust to you
